Miss Missouri:

Please visit the Miss Missouri Website for complete information.

Eligibilty

A young woman must be between the ages of 17 – 24 and a high school graduate by the time of the state competition. She must be a resident of the State of Missouri or be a full time college student in the state (a minimum 12-hour class load)

Participation

She must enter a local pageant. Our local pageants are listed on our website, www.missmissouri.org. Miss Metro Saint Louis is an open pageant which means you may be from anywhere in the state to enter. Miss River City is a closed pageant only for contestants who have never competed at the state level.
Children's Miracle Network is the national platform of the Miss America Organization and because of that each contestant must raise at least $100.00 for CMN per local pageant entered. However, once $400.00 is raised she may enter as many locals as she would like. Go to www.missamerica4kids.org to register.
The winners of our local pageants participate in the state finals in June.
Each contestant is to have a "platform." This is an organization and/or cause she supports through service. CMN may be the platform or it can be another cause.
The contestant must submit the proper paperwork for participation in the local.

Competition

All contestants compete in the following areas and are judged by a panel of 5 – 7 impartial judges:
Interview – each contestant will be privately interviewed by the judges.
Talent – each contestant will present a 90 second talent on stage.
Eveningwear – each contestant will be judged in evening gown for poise and presence.
Swimsuit – each contestant will be judged in a swimsuit of her choice for physical fitness.
On Stage question – each contestant will answer at least one question on stage before the
audience.

Winning

The winners of the local pageants will be the Miss Missouri Contestants for the next state pageant. From them one young woman will be crowned Miss Missouri.

Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen:

The information provided below is not meant to be complete or comprehensive. You should visit the Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen Website for detailed information. For further information about becoming a contestant in the Miss Missouri Pageant contact a local pageant director in your area. You may also contact any of our Regional Field Directors for guidance. Many of our families have made this learning experience enjoyable by attending one of our local pageants and talking to the contestants and their families. Several prior contestants have remarked that steps such as entering a local pre-teen event occurring at same dates and locations of local pageants have helped in multiple ways. If you are not sure about this year, we welcome your attendance which is very supportive to our contestants.
